Funding and Fees

As a registered charity, the pre-school must raise it's own funds. At present, the majority of our funding comes from the government which is available to all children in the term following their 3rd birthday. It is called the Early Years Entitlement (EYE).

As children can start attending the pre-school on their 3rd birthday, parents may be  required to pay fees for the initial few weeks or months prior to their child becoming eligible for funding. These fees are due termly, in advance. The EYE entitles children to receive 15 hours at a pre-school  per week over 38 weeks per year.

Chudleigh Pre-school currently offers places over a minimum of 33 weeks so you may not be able to access your full funding entitlement with us. However, we try to ensure our term dates coincide as closely as possible with those of Chudleigh Primary School.

Fees for those children who do not qualify for are £2.65 per hour as of September 2009.  For those children who use their funding elsewhere the hourly rate is £3.62, the same rate as the pre-school receives for each child from the EYE.
