Lunch Club and Extended Sessions

Lunch Club

We offer a lunch club three times a week at both sites. This is an opportunity for the children to stay after a session on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays and/or Fridays, to eat their packed lunch together and to play with all those who stay. It runs from the end of the session for one hour. The children are supervised by our capable staff, just as they are during the actual session. For the Rising Fives children, it is an ideal introduction to how lunch 'works' at school.

This is a popular activity that we offer - especially as of September this year when the changes to the Early Years Entitlement come into force, this can be claimed from the government funding. The children very much enjoy eating their lunch with their friends and the staff; not forgetting the extra hour it gives you to get those jobs done, work or just relax!

The children have to bring their lunch with them at the start of the morning. Do ask a staff member or committee member for more details.

Please understand that lunch clubs wiull only run when there is sufficient uptake.

Extended Sessions

Following the success of our lunch clubs and after consultation with families, we now offer the chance for your children to stay with the pre-school or Rising Fives from the start of their session until 3:00pm (town hall site) or 3:15pm (Rising Fives site). This is offered on Mondays and Wednesdays and allows parents to leave their children in excellent child care for 5.5 hours (town hall site) or 6 hours (Rising Fives site). Again, this can be claimed from the government funding. (Click here for more ionformation.) This is an excellent oppotunity for children to play, learn and have fun with their peers.
