About Us

Pre-school is run by a voluntary committee mainly made up of parents. The Committee is responsible for the hiring of staff, paying the bills and overseeing the running of the pre-school. We have regular committee meetings and these are open for all parents to attend. A list of committee members is available below, details of the next committee meeting can be found below, and are always posted on the notice boards on site. All Committee members are vetted by Ofsted and the Criminal Records Bureau.

We are members of the Pre-school Learning Alliance (PLA) and are registered with Ofsted. We have two Ofsted numbers as we operate on a split site. 

The pre-school is at the School Room in the Town Hall where we take children from the age of three. The sessions run for 2.5 hours every weekday morning from 9:30am and on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 12:30pm. There is also the option of attending from 9:30am - 3:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The Rising Fives is for children aged from 4 years and is held each weekday morning for 2.5 hours from 9:15am in the Community Room in Chudleigh Primary School. We also run afternoon sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:15pm - 3:15 pm, as well as offoering the option for children to stay from 9:15 amd - 3:15pm on those days. Children who are registered to attend the primary school are welcome to attend Rising Fives and are admitted at two points during the academic year; either at the start of the spring or autumn term, depending on their birth date. Children not registered to attend Chudleigh Primary School may continue with the pre-school at the Town Hall site.
