About Us

Pre-school is run by a voluntary committee mainly made up of parents. The Committee is responsible for the hiring of staff, paying the bills and overseeing the running of the pre-school. We have regular committee meetings and these are open for all parents to attend. A list of committee members is available below, details of the next committee meeting can be found below, and are always posted on the notice boards on site. All Committee members are vetted by Ofsted and the Criminal Records Bureau.

We are members of the Pre-school Learning Alliance (PLA) and are registered with Ofsted. We have two Ofsted numbers as we operate on a split site.  The table below shows the timings for our two sites.

The pre-school is at the School Room in the Town Hall where we take children from the age of 2.5 years. It is open every morining and on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. There is also the option of attending from 9:20am until 3:05pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, whilst on all other days of the week a lunch club is offered, provided there is enough uptake. If children stay all day, or attend just an afternoon sessin, they will need to bring a packed lunch for that time.

The Rising Fives site is for children to attend the academic year before they are due to start school and is held each weekday morning in the Community Room in Chudleigh Primary School, as well as Monday and Wednesday afternoons. There is also the option of attending from 9:15am until 3:15pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, whilst on all other days of the week a lunch club is offered, provided there is enough uptake. If children stay all day, or attend just an afternoon sessin, they will need to bring a packed lunch for that time.
